Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Turbine Rebuild?

A Turbine Rebuild is disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and replacing components of a dental handpiece turbine. The turbine is a crucial part of the handpiece that houses the bearings and drives the rotation of the bur tool. Over time, the turbine may experience wear, damage, or decreased performance due to factors such as usage, contamination, or age.

Where is Universal Strength located?

Our shop is located in Gainesville, Florida. Hence the "352" in our website domain.

How long do repairs generally take?

Due to our extensive inventory of parts and tools, we are able to complete repairs in a very short time frame (typically one day). In the case we must order a specific turbine or part per customer request, we will next-day ship the part at no extra cost.

I am not located in Gainesville. However, I would still like to have my handpiece serviced. Can I ship it in?

Currently, we do not accept shipped-in devices, but we are working to gain this ability. We do offer a pick-up and drop-off service at no extra cost for all of our clients in North Florida, including Tampa, Ocala, and surrounding areas. We expect to be able to receive packages by the week of July 10th, 2023.

How can my practice keep track of repairs?

A service log is completed of all devices repaired. This allows us to keep track of the warranty and previous repairs completed. This service log can be printed out for your office's records, or accessed in your account when you log in. We update this log after every repair.
